City of Tshwane invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Work‑Integrated Learning, Experiential Training and Internship vacancies. The closing date for applications is Monday, 3 November 2025.

The City of Tshwane is looking for graduates and final‑year students to join its Work‑Integrated Learning (WIL) programme for 2026. This initiative helps young people turn their university degrees into real‑world jobs, teach them useful skills, and keep the city’s economy strong.

Who Can Join?

To qualify you need:

  • A university or college certificate – Whether it’s a bachelor’s degree, a three‑year diploma, or an N6 qualification.
  • You’re in your final year – If you haven’t finished the work‑integrated learning part of your course, you’re still eligible.
  • You’ll need real work time – The programme gives you 12, 18 or 24 months of training, depending on your field.
  • You live in Tshwane – You must be a permanent resident of the city’s municipal area.
  • Students with disabilities – The City will provide the necessary help so you can succeed.

You also get a chance even if you have never worked before.

What You’ll Do

When you’re selected, you’ll sign a City of Tshwane Student‑in‑Training contract.

  • Universities – 12 months of hands‑on work.
  • Colleges (generic fields) – 18 months.
  • Colleges (technical fields) – 24 months.

You’ll have a mentor at the workplace who will guide you, check your progress and make sure you meet the academic requirements. At the end, you’ll have a real résumé that shows you can handle a full‑time job.
